If you think CHI CHI’s “Don’t Mess Around” is the worst song in K-Pop, then you weren’t around when old-school girl group Baby VOX tried to debut in America when slutty rap was popular and despite their limited knowledge of English.
They also illegally sampled Tupac and got in trouble for it lol.
Anonymous asked: im curious, what first got you into k-pop? how long have you been listening to it?
HAHAH. I’ve been waiting for this question for SO LONG.
Basically, one day in 2007 (holy shit! it’s been five years?!) after watching some documentary on North Korea, I was looking up videos about the country (which I still have a giant fascination with), and came upon this video of old-school Korean girl group Baby V.O.X performing in Pyongyang.
It was fascinating to me, so I watched it quite a few times, and eventually fell in love with the song, and then another Korean one and then another, and then another, and then I first heard SNSD’s Kissing You (which they were promoting at the time) and blah blah blah, I was hooked, and so here I am. Haha.
